Front-end development is a dynamic field that requires constant adaptation to new technologies and trends. As a front-end developer at GlueLabs, I had the opportunity to work with a variety of tech stacks and develop my skills in a fast-paced and challenging environment. In this blog post, I will share my experiences during my 14 months at GlueLabs, including the projects I worked on, the tech stacks I used, and the skills I developed.

Tech Stacks Used

During my time at GlueLabs, I had the opportunity to work with a variety of tech stacks, including Next.js, React Query, Tailwind CSS, and Astro JS. These tools allowed me to build fast, responsive, and user-friendly websites and applications.

Next.js is a popular React-based framework that offers server-side rendering, automatic code splitting, and other performance optimizations. At GlueLabs, I used Next.js to build the product called Glue website, which required a high level of customization and integration with various APIs and services.

React Query is a powerful data-fetching library that simplifies the process of handling asynchronous data in React. I used React Query in several projects at GlueLabs, including the development of a product called FIFO, which required real-time updates and complex data manipulation.

Tailwind CSS is a utility-first CSS framework that offers a wide range of pre-defined styles and components. I used Tailwind CSS extensively in my projects at GlueLabs, as it allowed me to rapidly prototype and develop UI components without writing custom CSS.

Astro JS is a new static site generator that offers a modern development experience and performance optimizations out of the box. At GlueLabs, I had the opportunity to experiment with Astro JS and use it in several smaller projects.

Projects Worked On

During my 14 months at GlueLabs, I worked on several projects, including the development of the company’s official website and products called FIFO and GLUE.

The Glue website was a complex project that required a high level of customization and integration with various APIs and services. I used Next.js and React Query to build the website, which included features such as Post Highlights, and Discussion Rooms.

FIFO was a product developed by GlueLabs that allowed users to organize learning and knowledge. It’s a learning-focused community, but it’s not a social media platform. I worked on the front-end development of FIFO, which required real-time updates and complex data manipulation. I used React Query to fetch and update data from the backend API, and Tailwind CSS to style the user interface.

Skills Developed

Working as a front-end developer at GlueLabs allowed me to develop several skills, including:

  1. Project management: I learned how to effectively manage my time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  2. Collaboration: I worked closely with other developers, designers, and project managers, which improved my communication and teamwork skills.
  3. Problem-solving: I faced many complex technical challenges during my time at GlueLabs, which allowed me to develop my problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  4. Technical proficiency: I gained expertise in several front-end technologies, including React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS, which improved my technical
